Products: Paper (Close to My Heart, GCD, American Crafts), diecuts (EZ Laser Designs), tags and letterson (GCD), rhinestones (Darice), ink (Uniball, Zig), and adhesive (Tombo).
Description: I took Kelli's sketch and flipped to the side 90 degrees. Then I mirror-imaged it because I like to build my layouts from the left instead. I also substituted another picture in to the tilted photo look. I loved the layering affects with this sketch. It really adds some dimension to your layout and allowed me to use all kinds of fun colors and edges!

Description: I didn't follow the sketch exactly, I used it more as a jumping off point. Title : i love school
Description
Photos taken a week before i deliever my second kid. One of the last few rare moments of me with my older girl.
Her childcare was just a min walk away from our home, but that min of walk seems so precious and short, and seeing the
girl grow and enter into a new phrase of life, is enough to bring tears. I don't really have much photos of her, wearing uniforms and attending class,
but these few rare shots are my favourite.

Title: Social Butterfly
Description: My version of this sketch is more abstract than usual but I just had to follow my inspiration. Journaling: I've always been known as a social butterfly and I always put my gift of gab to good use.

Title: First Kiss
Journalling: Both of us decided that our 1St kiss wil lbe at the altar. When the momoent finally came, it was humorous when Pastor called for us to kiss twice!
Description: I love the white spaces in this sketch! So this picture was scrapped as I love how the space in the air well of the church building is emphasised by the white space. My Beloved and I decided when we first dated that our first kiss will be at the altar on our wedding day. So when it finally arrived, it was certainly worth the wait! Pastor played along - he actually called us to kiss twice, claiming that he missed it the first time we kissed!

I {heart} Cupcakes
A customer of the store I work at asked me to scrapbook using this large cupcake "paperclip". Seeing as I am a BIG fan of Sassafrass Lass, and have a visual catalog of their papers in my head ( :) ) I grabbed this paper! The colors of the sprinkles are even the same as the paper!
The best part? I did this layout with just two pieces of paper! The Kraft background and the one piece of patterned paper! Of course there some added embellishment, but very little compared to my usual! :)
Supplies: Patterned paper: Sassafrass Lass; Ribbon: Fancy Pants; Flower: Kaiser; Letters: American Crafts (Thickers) Cupcake: Jo-Ann's

Journaling. I have several semi-valid reasons for hating the color orange. I've always bought small doses of orange papers/embellies to do pages about our sweet Sam. Fast forward to this year when 2 of my favorite brands came out with AWESOME lines of orange papers. What's a girl to do but buy orange paper and take lots of pictures of her favorite Orange Excuse.

Dream - About Pink Sketches

  • Sketches are an idea map for a scrapbook layout. It's great for newbie scrapbookers who don't know where to start, and veterans who want to step out of their normal design box. Every Sunday a new sketch will be posted by one of our design team. You can use it to make a scrapbook layout (traditional or digital), card, or altered item. There are no constraints. Flip it, Twist it, Turn it. The possibilities are endless. Just make sure your page resembles the sketch in some way.

How to Submit Your Layout -

When you have finished your layout email it to kelli11181984@mac.com. Make sure to include the sketch #. Once we receive your layout we will post it in our Pink Gallery so you can share it with everyone. Also feel free to post a link to your design in the comment section.

    Credit

The one thing we ask you do is give credit to pink sketches for our work. If you use our sketch and post your layout on a blog/gallery/website or have it published. Please say Inspired by a Pink Sketch and a link to Pink Sketches. THANKS!
