Description: This was a funny story that I wanted to remember for a long time. I didn't have any actual pictures of that day {no time to grab my camera}, so I used a picture I had taken of Chase around the same time and the Cosmo Cricket line worked just perfect!

Title: Mega Meet with the Girls

Description: I took Kelli's sketch and flipped to the side 90 degrees. Then I mirror-imaged it because I like to build my layouts from the left instead. I also substituted another picture in to the tilted photo look. I loved the layering affects with this sketch. It really adds some dimension to your layout and allowed me to use all kinds of fun colors and edges!

Description: Shane and I ran the Salt Lake City half marathon back in April. This is the only photo we have at the finish line (I look/was so tired) thanks to Shane's parents. It was such a beautiful day so I wanted to use bright colors. I really love the star/button accents I created too. 
Journaling: date: 4.18.09 | place: SLC half marathon | notes: I finished in 2:44:22. Shane finished in 2:01:28. We did it! We completed our first marathon.

Description: Our wedding photographer captured this shot of the wedding car entering my place, as the Beloved came to pick me up. In our Chinese tradition, the groom has to come to the Bride's place in the morning to receive her. The sides of this layout was done by chalking over a stamped image.

Her childcare was just a min walk away from our home, but that min of walk seems so precious and short, and seeing the

Description: My version of this sketch is more abstract than usual but I just had to follow my inspiration. When I sat down to design, I started playing with the diagonal strip and some butterfly accents. Description: This cheeseboard was altered as a gift for the Beloved's aunt, a wonderful lady with four beautiful grand-daughters. The gals are wonderful to hang out with and I'm looking forward to spending time with them soon. The butterflies were created by swiping different inks on paper before punching them out. That way, the colors on them tie in with the colored Sassafras Lass edge on the top of the board.

Description: My boyfriend Shane graduated on Friday with his Master's degree. I didn't waste any time creating my first page about his great achievement.
Journaling: Step 1: get accepted into a 2-year grad program with full scholarship. Step 2: research and write a 150 page thesis. Step 3: defend thesis. Step 4: wear a funny robe, attend graduation ceremony, and earn a much deserved degree.

Surely it is no surprise that we decided to return to Penang six months later - this time with a car. We Drove round the entire island, feasting on all the famed items this paradise is known for. My Beloved and I decided when we first dated that our first kiss will be at the altar on our wedding day. So when it finally arrived, it was certainly worth the wait! The best part? I did this layout with just two pieces of paper! The Kraft background and the one piece of patterned paper! Journaling. I have several semi-valid reasons for hating the color orange. I've always bought small doses of orange papers/embellies to do pages about our sweet Sam. Fast forward to this year when 2 of my favorite brands came out with AWESOME lines of orange papers. What's a girl to do but buy orange paper and take lots of pictures of her favorite Orange Excuse.
