Title: iMBK shopping
Description: It's a memorable shopping experience for me in Bangkok, Thailand. We just had to visit the infamous or rather, famous MBK shopping centre where tonnes of tourists are for the shopping. I just had to get my husband to take a photo of me with MBK behind me to mark this "history" visit of mine, though I didn't do much shopping there! LOL!
Journaling: It's my 1st time to the infamous shopping centre in Bangkok, Thailand, where I heard you get to bargain for your goods. Apparently, the Thai shop owners must have wised up to all that. But it was an experience! I could do it again.
Supplies: From Scarlet Lime's August Kit (Tinkering Ink Beau Jardin papers, LUXE Capris papers, American Craft Moda Bella papers, American Crafts Thickers and Remarks alphas, buttons and lace ribbon), Making Memories 5th Avenue journaling book paper.

Title: Dog Gone Cute
Description: That picture of Maui was taken at the park after playing fetch. That's why she's got her tongue hanging out. I wanted to scrap this one because I thought her floppy ears looked really cute here.
SuppliesPaper American Crafts - A La Mode; We R Memory Keepers - Urban Window Collection; Bazzill - Cardstock and Scalloped Circle Other Making Memories - Spiral Journal Book; American Crafts - Stickers (Remarks); American Crafts - Thickers (Giftbox);7Gypsies - Stamp; Queen and Co. - Felt; KI Memories - Stickers

Title: Made with Love
Description: I did this page to show off my Mom's handiwork at knitting. She's always making really cool sweaters for my daughter. So, for this page, I took some close ups of Annde in one of her sweaters.
I took the sketch and changed the large horizontal block into pictures. I then tucked a transparency that was rectangular behind the pictures. I had to move the title and journaling up. Add some fun edges and doodling and the page is complete.
Supplies: Paper (Bazzill), Transparencies (Fancy Pants), Ink (Zig, Uniball), Adhesive (Kokuyo), brads (Oriental Trading), gel blossoms (Heidi Swapp), and letters by Doodlebug.

Title: Fly
Supplies: Patterned paper: SEI; Cardstock: SEI; Journaling spot: Making Memories; Paint: Making Memories; Ink: Tim Holtz and Stampin' Up; Alphas: American Crafts Thickers; Tim Holtz Grungeboard; Embroidery floss
Journaling: Grandpa and Grandma bought this swing for you for your third birthday.  Daddy hung it in the tree in the front yard down by the old well. The higher you go, the happier you are.  You always say, "Swing me way up high, Mommy!"

Fly layout

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Scenic Route Sonoma - Rosalie Street, Verano Ave, Oak Lane; Scarecrow: Recollections from Michael's
Description: I have been inspired by simplicity lately. So I kept true to the sketch and let the picture be the inspiration.
Journaling: James loved the pumpkin patch. He even decided to take a bite out of a couple of them. I don't think they were quite as good as the stuff in the jar.

Supplies: Paper: KIMemories, CreativeCafe, OctoberAfternoon. Embellishments: OctoberAfternoon. Stickers: MakingMemories
Journaling: As much as I hate to admit it, Samuel C is really starting to show his age. We met a woman at the dog park whose fur-boy had just turned 15. We can certainly hope and pray for 4 more healthy and happy years.

Dream - About Pink Sketches

  • Sketches are an idea map for a scrapbook layout. It's great for newbie scrapbookers who don't know where to start, and veterans who want to step out of their normal design box. Every Sunday a new sketch will be posted by one of our design team. You can use it to make a scrapbook layout (traditional or digital), card, or altered item. There are no constraints. Flip it, Twist it, Turn it. The possibilities are endless. Just make sure your page resembles the sketch in some way.

How to Submit Your Layout -

When you have finished your layout email it to kelli11181984@mac.com. Make sure to include the sketch #. Once we receive your layout we will post it in our Pink Gallery so you can share it with everyone. Also feel free to post a link to your design in the comment section.

    Credit

The one thing we ask you do is give credit to pink sketches for our work. If you use our sketch and post your layout on a blog/gallery/website or have it published. Please say Inspired by a Pink Sketch and a link to Pink Sketches. THANKS!
