Description: The sketch was rotated and loads of Sassafras papers were played with this week! Given that owls are associated with wisdom, this layout of my Beloved's personality was complemented through the repeated motif of owls everywhere!

Journalling: Getting live music for our dinner receptions was one ofthe best decisions made. Everyone enjoyed them trememdously, us included... Enjoying each other as live music played on for both nights.

Spring is finally arriving! Are you as excited as I am??? This just seems like the longest winter ever. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year to scrap. Journalling: I cannot imagine living without you.

Description: I wanted to do a layout that focussed on my Beloved. Using the sketch, I thought it would be fun to do circles instead of squares. So loads of them here on the following creation. Chose also a more masculine floral print to complement the subject matter, without forgetting that this layout will thereafter still tie in with my other wedding layouts.

Description: I'm working on organizing my photos into the Library of Memories system. I found these three favorite photos of my stepdad. These small cluster of photos have been sitting on my desk and I was finally inspired by the photos and this sketch to complete the page. I kept this tribute page very simple because I wanted to focus on the photos and the journaling.

Journaling: Chuck, Thanks for marrying my mom 12 years ago and making me a part of your family. Thanks for attending countless sporting events, dances, and graduations. Thanks for giving me car advice. Thanks for inviting us over on Sundays for dinner, sharing your beer with Shane (thanks for liking him too!), and teaching us the game "31". Thanks for sharing your Ute football season tickets and getting the tailgate site ready each game. Thanks for always making "Chuck jokes!" Thanks for being a great listener and a great friend. Jen

Description: When my BFF Tracy gave me these pictures to scrapbook, I knew that it had to be a special page - especially when she gave me the story behind them. So, I took this week's sketch and tipped it on it's side. I had to increase the journaling box to get the whole story in. Also, instead of a title circle, I swapped in a picture and moved the title to over the other strip of pictures. I just love how it came out and I hope Tracy will too!

Boys and flowers... I hear it all the time 'I can't use flowers and boys!" Yes you can! Appreciating the beauty of flowers is not limited to girls. I never made a big deal about it, and neither does my husband, somy boys have no issue with it... if you are hesitant, try primary colored flowers, scalloped punched paper or newspaper as flowers, or use pop can tin in your punch and make a flower... they don't HAVE to be "girlie"!

Title: Churchman Brook Dam

Decription: I saw the unlimited possibilities with this sketch once again and went on a 2-pager spree with this multi-photo sketch - perfect to scrap my last Christmas Holiday in Perth. The photos were taken in a surburb in Western Australia called Roleystone. My uncle took us to a dam with a breathtaking view! Daren had a field-day with those binoculars too!

Title: Field Trip
Description: I was really excited to see this week's sketch because it was designed for multiple pictures. I kept the vertical column of pictures to the left... but substituted a few more pictures in. The squiggle & horizontal strip became my title. Then, I replaced the single picture and vertical strip with a film strip of pictures. This was a fun page to do because I didn't take any of the pictures - Annde and her teachers took them using a disposable camera that I sent with her on the field trip. I just love all the close up blurry pics she took - she was sooooo proud of them when we picked up the pictures. 
Journaling: The journaling talks about how she went on her first field trip, on a school bus (another first) and had a lot of fun playing golf and eating pizza with Emily.

Description: This cute, playful page showcases all the funny faces my nephew made when he was 9 months old. He lives in Virginia and I live in Utah, so we look forward to receiving these funny photos via email.

Journaling: The journaling for this page is written on the card tucked under the far right photo. If you don't have room on your page for journaling, or the story is too long to tell, then write it on a card and hide it under a photo. Then add a tag, embellishment, or ribbon as a finishing touch.

New Design Team Members

I am so excited to announce 5 new members to the Pink Sketches design team. The decision was incredibly hard. There were over 100 entries. If I could of chosen them all I would of. It was very hard to get it down to just 5. 

There will not be a sketch this week so we can take the time to get acquainted with our new members and start work on next weeks sketch. So why not take a chance to look through some of our older sketches and use them as inspiration? You can still send in your layouts to be in the Pink Gallery.
