DESCRIPTION: I stayed true to the sketch for the most part. I flipped the journaling spot based on the height of my second photo and used the extra matting space as a journaling spot.

Description: These photos were taken at the fountain in a shopping center while we were in Cali this past summer.. The kids were waiting and I decided to whip out my camera and turn it into a fun photo shoot. They also were with their cousins and they started taking money out of the fountain, but we made sure they put it all back.

 Journalling: One of the highlights of visiting Floriade was to find this street organ. Playing beautiful music that seranaded everyone, this organ made the trip memorable!
Description: Right now in Canberra, we're welcoming spring with a flower festival - Floriade. We were thrilled to hear beautiful music fill the air and later realised that it came from this beautiful organ. She travels all over Australia and plays at different fairs to bring happiness to thousands!

Title: Shutter Happy

Journalling: Snap! The thrill of taking pictures will always be there - especially when they capture beautiful times! Smile=)

Description: I had this picture me taking a picture that I really wanted to scrap. So, to capture all the happy times I have with it, out came the happy, bright papers! If you noticed, I was out of an "e" for my title, so what I did was to write the letter on a sticker, before placing it in the camera, as if a picture is being taken. I tried to making the journalling spot mimic a flash.

Title: Just Having FunDescription: I love these photos taken at a recent wedding dinner we attended. Daren was horsing around with a prawn cracker and posing with it - delibrately covered his eyes with the cracker. So David and I collaborated that on the count of three, I would peal Daren's hand back to reveal his full face. And we got ourselves a fun and cheeky picture!

Description: I finally had the opportunity to scrap the pictures from when Maui ended up going to the pet hospital. I love the sketch for this one because it was a multiphoto layout! Also, I used some real band aids for a quick and cheap embellishment. For the journal spot, I wrote, "when the vet told me she was going to have to wear an e collar, i just knew she was going to be upset. she took it off after 10 min, and never scratched her 'owie'!"

Title: By Myself

Description: This is a layout about the first time my daughter used the computer by herself. I tipped the sketch to the side and added in a strip of pictures down the middle to better show the memory. It was fun to use the circle paper to mimic the keyboard. The page is made up with mixed and matched papers by Pink Paislee, Bazzill, and MME. I then embellished with some pretty ribbon, Thickers, and some chipboard strips by MME to finish my creation.

It's been a big thing each time you lay your hands on the camera, always looking for Daddy to take self-portraits with you. It goes to show how close your relationship with Daddy is. Cut with my Cricut, using SCAL software Notes: I loved the title and journaling across the top and bottom, but needed my picture and journaling spots to be vertical, so I flipped this sketch, then flipped it back again.   Jana Patterson Title: Our Memories Products used: Bazzil paper; Creative Imaginations, K & Company, and MAMBI stickers; Stickles; misc ribbon; ink by Sharpie; and adhesive by Kokuyo. My thoughts: I like to use blocks of photos so I switched up the sketch to allow for a few more photos while still keeping the layout very simple. I also kept the journaling short: it tells that her favorite toy was her Princess crown, shoes, and jewelry, her favorite food was pumpkin pie, and that my favorite memory was how she finally got the whole "opening presents" thing.  Sarah de Guzman Title: Give Thanks Description: I wanted to scrap a layout from my Thanksgiving fiasco. Description: This time, I took the center picture and changed it into journaling, with a large overlay frame. Then, the angle picture became a group of 4 pictures. The circle is fabric, made from one of my daughter's old Disney princess nightgowns. I moved the title to accommodate for more journaling.

I took the sketch and also made a card, using the same supplies as the Poodle page. It's a great way to use up those little scraps and you always have a card to send when you need one! The circle became a sun that moved outward in the layering. Add a fabric strip from that same nightgown and a quote to the sun and it's ready to send out for congratulations!

How I interpreted the sketch:
I liked the photo block so I started there and built around it. I switched the block for the title/journaling with the embellishment block so that I could build the flower patch without losing the detail of the stems. However, after putting in the journaling, I lost the room for the title I had come up with so I simply shifted it up to the top and moved the pictures down slightly. My journaling looked better as strips so I cut apart my block.

How I interpreted the sketch:
I liked this layout for a card so I popped one together with scraps leftover from my page. I turned the sketch 90 degrees counter-clockwise. After laying in the blocks, flowers, and the rubon strip, I then layed the title (THANKS) rotated back to horizontal.
