2 pager: {July 4}
This is a layout I did for my best friend, Tracy. Sometimes it can be really hard to scrapbook the same event, such as a holiday, over and over. It always seems to be the same layout and journaling. So, for this year's festivities, I scrapbooked her pictures for her! Instead of writing the traditional "We did this...", I challenged her to ask and write down what each kid thinks the word freedom means or what makes them proud to be an American and use that instead of the normal journaling.
For the sketch, I simply swapped the position of the vertical stripes with the scallop piece of paper. I also added some more journaling spots so I moved the title up on the page.
Products used: CTMH, Scenic Route, and Little Yellow Bicycle paper, Uniball pen, Kokuyo adhesive, and stickers, chipboard, and tags from Scenic route.
1 page cover: Tracy's Journaling Book
This is a covered journal book I also did for my best friend, Tracy. I love to cover journals so that they provide a bit of the author's personality. As Tracy has an All-Boy household, she loves a little bit of pink in her life and we both love the brown and pink color combination.
For this book, I used all SEI papers from the Jolie Chocolate line and used the right side page sketch. First, I cut out the large flower & butterfly pattern out of the Praline paper. (to replace the scallop piece in the sketch) Then, I took a strip of the Cherie (brown butterfly) paper to make the vertical strip as well as the horizonal strip (below the pics in the sketch). I shifted the vertical strip to the right because I liked how it looked there better. I mixed in 2 journaling blocks instead of pictures and tucked them underneath - bringing the strips and the scallops forward in the sketch. Lastly, I added a few hearts & butterfly pieces and some Chalk ink around the journal edges for some extra embellishment. I hope you like it as much as Tracy did!

Title: {Boyish Charm}
Description: This sketch was perfect to capture the various photos and looks that we love of our boy from a recent studio photoshoot. I got my husband involved in the journalling process and had him journal along the curvy lines from the left page to the right to creat a flow and connect the pages. The journalling also allowed each individual page to be seen a single layout as well.
Journalling: (Left Page) It's the 1000 watts smile, smiles that radiates charm. You will always warm our hearts with that (Right Page) hearty chuckle. It tells you are not just having fun, but you are secure in our love for you. Love Daddy & Mummy. P.S.: Although you do sometimes charm your way out of trouble. Especially with Daddy. Which works 99% of the time

Title: Autumn's Arrival
Description: As soon as I got my hands on this Pink Paislee Vintage Moon Collection I knew I had to make something. This sketch was perfect, so I made the layout with Autumn's upcoming arrival in mind. I can not wait to take some pictures of the leaves, and incredible autumn scenery to add to this page.
Supplies: All Pink Paislee
Patterned Paper: Pine Cone Press; Letter stickers: Thickers.
I haven't done a two page layout in quite awhile-but I love a challenge! I made my own die cut paper, by using one of my favorite pre-cut sheets as a template. Just trace and cut-if you want even more interest to the edges, get out your edge distresser... or cut it out in another print, and then use the second as a frame by cutting an inner edge about 1/4 of an inch inside the first cut... the combinations are endless!
I hope you all enjoy Sketch #4, I can not wait to see all your wonderful creations. Make sure to leave us a comment and let us know how you are enjoying Pink Sketches!!! Also make sure to click on each designers name and check out all of our wonderful blogs!
