Title: Limited Edition Creativity
Description: I had fun swapping the sketch around this week. Instead of using angled papers and a straight picture, I used a straight block and mounted angled pictures. I also added an additional picture at the bottom and used 2 angled transparencies over the top of it.

Title: [D]aren

Description: I rotated the sketch to best suit my boy's portrait photo taken when he was in his Playgroup Class. I had fun with the papers, the alphas and the buttons - making the page look messy, busy and fun to look at! Isn't Playgroup meant to be like that - Fun?

When I look at a sketch, I often change the obvious to the subtle. The stripes of the sketch became the striped on the circle and the bracket... The sizes of things often change too. I love white space, so if I can create more, I often do! I love to keep things simple, as much as I love LOTS of layers!

Title: Happy Valentines' Day, Annde
Description: Last week, I bought this box of Reese's Peanut Butter cups in this cute heart shape. Unfortunately, they didn't make it to Valentines Day... but the box was so cute, I didn't want to throw it away! So, I grabbed some stash from my bag and the sketch from this week and turned it into a great little present for my daugther. In fact, I used the sketch on the outside AND inside of the box. Then, we refilled it with her favorites (M&Ms and P'nut butter cups) and some Littlest Pet Shops... It came out very cute and Annde loved it!

Title: CNY

Description: Seeing the older stash of MME's paper, I had the perfect picture in mind which suited the papers as well. I used my recent Lunar Chinese New Year photo to scrap about it. I had fun layering the punched out papers with 3-D foam dots and buttons!

Title: Shape My Life…Run

Description: I've mirrored the sketch again for this week. This is to record the moment where I made the decision to run 5km at the women's only SHAPE' Singapore run 2008. It's a satisfying moment for myself to have completed the race.

Title: S.W.A.K.
Description: I had a lot of fun with the layering of this sketch. I had recently found these pictures in my bag from last year's Valentine's day. They weren't spectacular (love the shiner my kid has in the lower right hand picture) so I wanted to use my supplies to make them look more Valentinesy. I stayed pretty close to sketch, only shifting a few things around. Enjoy!

Title: Sweet & Sassy
Description: I kept pretty true to the sketch... I switched the single photo with sideways title for multiple photos and a journaling block. The title moved down to the bottom corner of the page. Instead of journaling about it being Valentine's Day, I journaled about her personality because the pictures didn't really scream Valentine's day...

Description: I mirrored the Sketch this time round. This layout is about my boy donning on a soldier's uniform and was beaming with so much pride, marching around at home and even taking the initiative to put on his cap to "complete" the look. He got so obsessed with soldiers and policemen eversince watching the National Day Parade. I've made a hidden journalling behind the photo with a pull out Maya Road Sheer Journalling Card.

Title: Maui Owie
Description: I finally had the opportunity to scrap the pictures from when Maui ended up going to the pet hospital. I love the sketch for this one because it was a multiphoto layout! Also, I used some real band aids for a quick and cheap embellishment. For the journal spot, I wrote, "when the vet told me she was going to have to wear an e collar, i just knew she was going to be upset. she took it off after 10 min, and never scratched her 'owie'!"

Title: By Myself

Description: This is a layout about the first time my daughter used the computer by herself. I tipped the sketch to the side and added in a strip of pictures down the middle to better show the memory. It was fun to use the circle paper to mimic the keyboard. The page is made up with mixed and matched papers by Pink Paislee, Bazzill, and MME. I then embellished with some pretty ribbon, Thickers, and some chipboard strips by MME to finish my creation.

It's been a big thing each time you lay your hands on the camera, always looking for Daddy to take self-portraits with you. It goes to show how close your relationship with Daddy is. My thoughts: I like to use blocks of photos so I switched up the sketch to allow for a few more photos while still keeping the layout very simple. I also kept the journaling short: it tells that her favorite toy was her Princess crown, shoes, and jewelry, her favorite food was pumpkin pie, and that my favorite memory was how she finally got the whole "opening presents" thing.  Sarah de Guzman Title: Give Thanks Description: I wanted to scrap a layout from my Thanksgiving fiasco. Title: Say Cheese

Description: I wrote tons on this layout. I wanted to write about Maui's love for open spaces. It reads, "maui loves OPEN spaces. everytime we go visit my parents' home, she goes crazy in the grass. she runs nonstop and rolls around in it. @ first, i thought it was just the grass, but when we take her to the beach, she runs around getting sand all over the place! when we take her to the dog park, which is an all-dirt playground for pooches, she goes absolutely nuts over dirt as well. i realized that it's not about getting dirty. it's about running around and exploring. apparently, when she was a puppy, she grew up on a farm with wide open spaces! perhpas it reminds her of the "puppy days," and it makes her smile. when i take her to any space to run, she gives me that big puppy look, and all i can say to her is, "say cheese!"

Title: 10.K Women's Run '08

Description: I used Picasa to play around with the photo image and edited it to be black and white to give an accomplished poignant feel. The background of the photo is one of Singapore's historical landmarks where the 10K run ended. The black and white photo stood out among the colors on this layout.

Journalling: We're not sister by blood, but sisters by a common goal - to complete the 10K run on 26th October 2008. We ran, we completed, we lived 10.K Women's Run '08.

Description: I had this great series of pictures and I used this sketch as inspiration to do a cute page without journaling. I took the picture block and broke it up into 6 before mounting it and my circle actually ended up a sticker/eyelet heart instead... Enjoy!

Title: Beach Boy

Journalling: A day of fun @ East Coast Parkway. Mommy bought a sandcastle set for you to play with. I enjoyed seeing you, having a fun time!! Daren @ 33 months.

Description: This Sketch was great for the many pictures taken at the beach sometime back. I played with distress ink at the bottom of the cardstock followed by sprinkling some water to give that vintage faded effect to represent the "sandy" part of the LO. Looked more like sand after the rain!!

Title: A Holiday Home
Description:
This is a page I did about my daughter and nephew making a gingerbread house with Grandma last Christmas. I just love these new shaped circles... aren't they just so cool? I embellished mine a little before layering it with the pictures by adding some circle stickers and some fun stickles. I then used some tacky tape to hold the ribbon down as it wrapped around the circle. I like the look of the white pen on the green background so I used the same combination on the background paper - this fun white snowflake vellum with dark green stickles.

Title: M is for Memories
Description: This was created in anticipation of my 1^st wedding anniversary. The picture was taken the morning when I was getting ready for the most beautiful day of my life. I wanted to capture the emotions going through me then – the anticipation, the wonder of what awaited. Details in my gown were mimicked through the embellishments used on the layout.

Title: The View
Description: I love when I can use a very simple layout that emphasizes the pictures because for me, scrapbooking is all about the picture and the story. I kept pretty close to the sketch, using ruffled lace as my top scallop and then layering some more ribbons and paper to create the bulk of the page. Of course, it wouldn't be a page from me if there wasn't some type of doodling or stickles on it!  The journaling is written in the style of the children's book, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" which is one of Annde's all-time favorite books. Then, behind the main picture is a journaling tag (see that hint of orange?) that talks about how she loves to stare out the upstairs dining room window.

Title: Carry Us Thru

Description: This layout is to reflect the thankful mode that I'm currently in. I'm ever thankful to God for carrying both my husband and I through the good and the bad times. I played with the transparency idea with the die-cut shape of the Crate Paper to represent the "transparency" that I have with my husband. Title: "Some Much Needed and Well Deserved R&R"

Technique: Glimmer Mist is great-BUT did you know: Take a Tim Holtz Mini-Mister, fill it 3/4 full with water. Add a brush or two full of Perfect Pearls, shake it up, Glimmer-y Mist! More fun?? Add a dropper full of Tim Holtz Distress Ink from a re-inker bottle to above, shake, and you have the ink color with the shimmer too!

"Time" is Shabby Shutters and Red (can't remember which) Perfect Pearls! This combo would be perfect for Christmas!

Title: I Love You

I turned the sketch on it's head-upside down. :) I wanted to keep it simple, but interesting. I try to throw in a die cut paper instead of the plain background, to many a sketch! Die cut papers are everywhere, but don't let the shape throw you off-use them like any other background.

These dials from K&Co. are also a favorite, besides all the Making Memories goodness! I LOVE Making Memories die cut papers, journaling pads, decorative brads, ribbons, and new to our store, the Slice! Sold out again today!

Title: my Bucket List
Description: 
Every seen the movie "The Bucket List"? Well, here's my bucket list!  Using the sketch this week from Kelli, I decorated both sides of a actual paint bucket!  I just loved working with the Making Memories stuff... At first, I was not sure it would work out - the colors are very muted but I loved how it really allowed the pictures to "pop" off the bucket. First, I applied the striped and red solid layer with Modge Podge. Then I cut the horizontal and vertical blocks. I crinkled them up, then flattened and ink them, before applying them. Add the pictures in large blocks, with the cute little chip tags & rhinestone brads to decribe where the pictures are of, a large journaling tag, some buttons, and the ribbon on the handle, and I'm almost done. I then ripped pieces of paper to decorate the lid. I love to use sketches for things other than just layouts! I'll post some more views on my blog.

"Hi everyone! Melita here! I am a SAHM with two 

wonderful kids and a very supportive husband 

of 11 years. I have been scrapping for almost 4 

years now and grow to love this wonderful

hobby more and more each day. I love all the 

different elements in scrapping, the paper,

embellishments, and tools. It amazes me how 

much talent everyone has and I am so blessed

to have discovered something that brings me so 

much joy! I am also so  thankful for the

opportunities scrapping has provided me. I have made wonderful 

new friends, gotten to travel a little and met more than a few
